Ensuring Candle Safety & Burning Instructions

Burning Instructions:

For new candles, allow wax to melt across the entire surface during the first lighting.

Never leave a burning candle unattended, as sunlight may cause discoloration.

Trim wicks to 1/4 inch before re-lighting, and avoid burning for more than 3 hours at a time

For Candle Safety follow these simple tips:

Never leave a burning candle unsupervised.
Extinguish candles before leaving the room or going to sleep.
Trim the wick before relighting.
Adhere to the 2-foot rule: Avoid placing a burning candle near flammable items like clothing, books or curtains.
Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans or any air currents.
Set candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface that is both sturdy and large enough to catch melted wax.
If the flame approaches the candle holder or container, extinguish the candle.
Ensure that burning candles are at least 3 inches apart from each other.
Never use a burning candle as a substitute for a nightlight.
Don't burn a candle for more than 3 consecutive hours.
Discontinue burning a candle when only a 1/2 inch of wax remains in the container.
